WHICH BIBLE
SHOULD I CHOOSE?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

It began with
his own Bible.

Marty Browne’s investigation began with a discovery inside a book he already trusted.

TEXAS A&M · SPRING 1992

A few words. More than thirty years of questions.

Between classes at Texas A&M, Marty opened his Dickson King James Version Study Bible and noticed a statement he had overlooked: it described the ASV as offering “more correct renderings.”

Having grown up with a King James Only perspective, he found the statement difficult to reconcile with what he had long believed. The question led beyond comparisons of English verses to the history of manuscripts, printed editions, and translation.

Which Bible Should I Choose? grows out of that personal journey. It invites readers to look carefully at the evidence while recognizing how deeply these questions can touch faith, family, and familiar convictions.
